WORLD CURRY FESTIVAL ARRIVES AT BRADFORD CITY

5 September 2016

Bradford City are delighted to announce that the World Curry Festival will be coming to the Northern Commercials Stadium at Valley Parade for a special culinary event that fans can enjoy.

The World Curry Festival takes place annually across major cities throughout Britain, with its upcoming seventh year arriving in Bradford and Leeds between 15th and 29th September 2016. The event specialises in bringing people together to celebrate a range of authentic curry dishes originating from Asia, Africa, Europe and The Americas.

With Bradford being award the ‘Curry Capital of Britain’ for five consecutive years, which no other City has ever achieved before, Bradford City Football club will celebrate the famous World Curry Festival by hosting the hospitality event during the game vs Bristol Rovers on Saturday 17th September 2016.

The event includes a high quality two-course curry meal in the Legends Suite, where a platter of luxury starters, meats and vegetarian options will all be available. Alongside this, a wide selection of main course curries will also be available for guests on the day. Not only this, guests will also receive a ticket to the game vs Bristol Rovers and have the opportunity to hear from two guest speakers – a former Bradford City player and a celebrity from the media.

Prices for this special curry event are as follows:

£35 - Season ticket holders

£45 – Non-Season ticket holders

£20 – Children (Under 11’s)

Founder of World Curry Festival, Mr Zulfi Karim commented on the event by saying:“We are delighted to be working with Bradford City Football Club. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring the festival and football together, and where better to do this than Bradford.”

City’s Chief Operating Officer, James Mason also said: “A couple of things the City is famous for are curries and football, and what better way to combine the two by celebrating the World Curry Festival. It’s not something we plan to do every week, but for a one-off occasion like this, it gives fans the opportunity to trial the food on offer and let’s see how it works. We look forward to seeing the colour and theatre that such a festival can bring.”
