SHORT CONFIRMED AS NEW FITNESS COACH

21 October 2016

Bradford City would like to inform supporters that Chris Short has now been officially appointed as the club's new Fitness & Conditioning Coach.

Short (pictured above) will join up with the rest of City's current coaching staff until the end of this season.

The 46 year-old most recently held the position of fitness coach at Bolton Wanderers until the conclusion of the 2015/2016 campaign.

Along with his role at Bolton, Short has previously worked for Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers, Crystal Palace, Derby County and Leicester City as well.

Short's arrival at the Northern Commercials Stadium will see him replace the departing Robert Lossau within the club's coaching set-up.

Lossau joined City at the start of July and helped to oversee the Bantams' pre-season programme ahead of the current 2016/2017 campaign.

The 50 year-old unfortunately found it increasingly difficult to maintain his role at the football club with his wife Martina being based in Korea, however, and he has now officially left the Bantams.

Bradford City would like to place on record its sincere gratitude to Robert for all of his efforts and wish him all the very best in the future.
