PETER GREENWOOD MEMORIAL TRUST EVENT THIS MONDAY

7 November 2016

Peter Greenwood was the Deputy Head Teacher at Thorn Park School for hearing impaired children in Bradford when he and his two sons, Rupert and Felix, tragically lost their lives in the fire at Valley Parade in May 1985.

A man dedicated to education, he was also a member of the staff team at Bradford & Ilkley Community College and devoted a great deal of his time helping deaf and hearing impaired young people in furthering their education and training.

The Peter Greenwood Memorial Trust was set up by Peter's wife Hazel in 1986 to honour his efforts by providing financial support for individuals who are hearing impaired to help them continue their education or follow vocational options at secondary, higher or further education levels.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the trust, all are welcome to join the trustees this Monday (7th November) where Peter’s wife Hazel Greenwood, previous Lord Mayor Joanne Dodds and representatives from Bradford City FC will be speaking about the trust.

The event is being hosted at Glyde House in Bradford from 4:00pm with initial speeches and afterwards an opportunity to view the new website and speak with the volunteer trustees until 7:00pm.

For further details of the event of the trust please contact; Malcolm Robinson 07944 132308 or 01535 272073 - www.pgmt.org.uk .
