The tie will be City's second successive home match in the competition after defeating Hartlepool United 1-0 at the Northern Commercials Stadium earlier this week thanks to Ellis Hudson's late winner.
City's match with Boston will have to be played by Saturday 19 November 2016.
Boston secured their spot in the second round with a 3-2 home win over Hereford FC.
