The 2-1 victory over Doncaster Rovers last weekend pushed City into sixth place in the table. The win was also the second in a week at home for Parkinson's men, meaning the Bantams will go to Wigan looking for their third victory on the trot.
Opponents Wigan currently sit in joint second with Walsall after drawing their last three games.
City will have to check over the fitness of Tony McMahon (hamstring) and Josh Cullen (calf) ahead of the trip across the Pennines.
Rory McArdle remains sidelined with a shoulder injury but Steven Davies is hoping to be back in the squad after recently recovering from a knee injury.
The fit-again Paul Anderson made a welcome return to action in Tuesday's reserves match, coincidentally also against Wigan.
Anderson featured for an hour in the 1-0 win at the Coral Windows Stadium but he isn't expected to make up part of Parkinson's match-day squad for this weekend.
For Wigan, the versatile Chris McCann will serve out the second of a two-match ban this weekend after collecting his tenth booking of the season during the 1-1 draw with Peterborough United in the Latics' previous home game.
Conor McAleny and Jason Pearce are doubts for this Saturday after missing Wigan's entertaining 3-3 draw at Colchester United last time out due to slight muscle injuries.
Michael Jacobs and Reece James also missed the Colchester match.
Wigan defender Stephen Warnock made his debut for the Latics in the Colchester game after signing on loan from Championship side Derby County.
During his time with Liverpool at the beginning of his career, Warnock actually made his professional debut for City thanks to a loan spell at Valley Parade back in 2002.
Another Wigan player with City connections is goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen after the Finnish shot-stopper trained briefly with Parkinson's squad over pre-season, featuring in City's friendly at Burnley at the same time.
Jaaskelainen was taken off during the Peterborough game after taking a whack to his head but the veteran goalkeeper returned between the sticks for Wigan in the Colchester match.
