Parkinson's men will face Doncaster at the weekend placed just outside the Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off places on goal difference alone after Tuesday's superb victory over league leaders Burton Albion.
Fresh from his side's impressive display against the Brewers, Parkinson wants City to reach those same heights again when Doncaster arrive at Valley Parade.
Parkinson said: "The lads were obviously delighted with Tuesday night but we must go again now.
"It doesn't matter whether it is top of the league or bottom of the league that we are facing, it is all about maintaining high standards.
"We have to keep those performance levels high. We will be reminding the players of the fact that they have to keep doing what they need to do for the team well.
"The lads did that on Tuesday but we need to produce that again come Saturday.
"We have to use the experiences we have gained from our recent home games over the last couple of months.
"We know that Doncaster will come to us on Saturday fighting to pull themselves away from that bottom end (of the table) but we can only concentrate on our own performance."
