A disability dash will act as the launch event for Bradford City’s programme of activities during Level Playing Field’s Weeks of Action. This annual initiative which celebrates and raises awareness of access and inclusion for disabled supporters is now in its eleventh year.
Level Playing Field (LPF) is a registered charity that believes that being a disabled person is a social issue and that an individual only becomes disabled because of the social, attitudinal and environmental barriers that the individual faces (known as the social model of disability).
Disabled people constitute the largest minority group at around 15% of the population and this number is increasing year on year. Naturally, a large number of disabled people are football fans too and we are pleased to take this opportunity to thank our own disabled fans for their continued loyalty and dedication to this great club.
We also appreciate that many disabled people have yet to share the passion and pleasures of being a football fan and our events will showcase some of our fantastic work we do year round with our disabled supporters - we hope you will join us!
