He played 518 times for Bolton Wanderers and won the FA Cup with the Lancashire side back in 1958.
A talented cricketer in his youth, Bryan also spent some time with the military for National Service.
After initially leaving City in 1975, Edwards became a qualified physiotherapist and eventually returned to Valley Parade two years later following brief spells coaching at Huddersfield Town and Leeds United.
In his second period at Bradford, Bryan filled a host of roles, including assistant manager, coach, physio, general manager and match-day host in the banqueting areas.
Bryan was involved with the club when City earned promotion in both 1981 and 1985.
He continued to live in the Bradford area following his retirement.
