After being named on the bench at Walsall last time out, Tony McMahon returns to the side, replacing Stephen Darby at right back.
Filipe Morais is also recalled into City's starting line-up for the festive fixture. The Portuguese winger has been brought into the side to replace Jordy Hiwula.
With Hiwula out of the side, Nicky Law is expected to be pushed forward to support main striker James Hanson in attack.
