PORT VALE TEAM NEWS

6 August 2016

Bantams boss Stuart McCall has handed debuts to four of his summer signings for the visit of Port Vale for City's season opener at the Northern Commercials Stadium.

As expected, Colin Doyle starts in goal for McCall's men, while Romain Vincelot, Nicky Law and Nathaniel Knight-Percival are also named in City's starting XI against Vale.

Fellow pre-season recruits Rouven Sattelmaier, Jordy Hiwula and Matthew Kilgallon have been included among the Bantams' substitutes. Also on City's bench will be second year apprentice defender Kwame Boateng.

James Hanson has been passed fit to start despite a slight knock picked up in training during the week. He will be joined in City's line up by first year professional Daniel Devine after McCall handed the young midfielder his maiden start in senior football.

Nathan Clarke and Timothee Dieng will miss out, however, due to minor calf problems.
