SHREWSBURY MATCH PREVIEW - EARLY TEAM NEWS

15 April 2016

The Bantams travel to Shrewsbury Town this Saturday (16 April 2016) for their latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture.

With only five games of the regular campaign to go, City's match at the Greenhous Meadow this weekend will be another important encounter for Phil Parkinson's men.

Kyel Reid is scheduled to be a part of City's travelling party for this Saturday's Shrewsbury match.

Despite limping off with a cut on his ankle during the win over Swindon Town last time out, Reid has been fine to train all this week.

Tom Thorpe could also be in Parkinson's plans for the Shrewsbury fixture after recovering from the shoulder injury that ruled him out of the Swindon match.

For opponents Shrewsbury, they will go into this Saturday's contest without the suspended duo of Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Mark Halstead.

Goalkeeper Halstead was dismissed towards the end of Shrewsbury's 3-1 loss at Millwall last weekend, meaning Swiss shot-stopper Jayson Leutwiler is likely to be between the sticks against the Bantams.

Shrews captain Knight-Percival will serve the last game of a three-match ban following a recent red card picked up for violent conduct.

Another centre half for Shrewsbury - Zak Whitbread - will be available for the hosts, however, after completing a one-match suspension last Saturday.

Fellow defenders Mickey Demetriou and Junior Brown are both ruled out for the rest of the season due to knee injuries.

Jermaine Grandson is a doubt with a troublesome hip problem while Matt Tootle is back in training after suffering a concussion a couple of weeks ago.
