BURKE AND PROCTOR DOUBTS; WEBB-FOSTER BROUGHT IN

22 April 2016

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has confirmed that Reece Burke and Jamie Proctor are both injury doubts for City's Sky Bet League 1 fixture with Walsall at the Coral Windows Stadium this Saturday.

Burke suffered a kick on his calf at Coventry City on Tuesday night while Proctor is still nursing a back problem.

On top of Proctor's injury doubt, Steven Davies will start at three-match suspension following his red card at the Ricoh Arena and Wes Thomas has been ill, leading to young attacker Reece Webb-Foster being recalled from his loan spell at Bradford (Park Avenue).

Parkinson said: "We've lost Steven for three games, Wes goes back (to parent club Birmingham City) next week and has had an illness this week, and Proctor has a problem with his back and will need a fitness test tomorrow (Saturday).

"As a result, we've called Reece (Webb-Foster) back and, you never know, he might be a player who we use and who makes a contribution.

"We also need to give Reece (Burke) a fitness test as well in the (Saturday) morning. Reece and Jamie haven't trained since the Coventry game on Tuesday.

"They are two good players who have made notable contributions for us in recent weeks but we have other good players, Rory McArdle and James Hanson for instance, waiting in the wings.

"Both Rory and James have proved themselves in the big games for us in the past and they are champing at the bit to be selected."
