The Bantams had to settle for a share of the spoils after coming from behind to draw at Fleetwood Town.

After conceding a freak wind-assisted early goal from Fleetwood's Jimmy Ryan, Phil Parkinson's Bantams seemingly grew stronger and stronger as the contest worn on, equalising through James Hanson's third of the season twenty minutes in.

With City clearly on top after the restart, Devante Cole twice went agonisingly close to giving the Bantams a deserved lead.

Cole's first opportunity came roughly ten minutes after the break when the striker sent a free header narrowly wide of the far post following Stephen Darby's well-placed cross.

Further into the second period, Billy Knott fed Cole into space in the area and the forward's strike on the turn rattled against the inside of the same far post before bouncing away.

Despite Cole's two near-misses, City still nearly won it with the very last attack of the match when Steven Davies flicked in fellow substitute Lee Evans' wide free-kick delivery deep into injury time.

Davies' connection from close range sparked joyous scenes from the packed away end but those celebrations were unfortunately cut short by the linesman's offside flag.

FT: Fleetwood Town 1 Bradford City 1
90+5min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO.....! City think they have won it with the very last attack of the game when Evans' resulting free-kick delivery into the box is scrambled home from close range by Davies. The wild celebrations in the away end are cut short, however, by the linesman's flag for offside.
90+5min: YELLOW CARDS - Evans and Andrew booked for a brief coming together after the award of a late City free-kick inside Fleetwood territory.
90min: There will be four minutes of time added on at the end of the match.
87min: SUBS - The Bantams bring on Lee Evans and Steven Davies for Knott and Cole respectively.
85min: Forbes' low ball into the box finds Matt and his close range effort hits up off McArdle and onto the roof of City's net.
82min: SUB - Fleetwood bring on Jack Sowerby for Proctor.
80min: A through ball from Fleetwood has Proctor in behind City's back-line. Crucially though, the striker's touch inside the box gets away from him slightly and Williams can gratefully dive on the loose ball.
79min: Anderson's hanging cross towards the far post is headed onto the roof of the net by a stretching Hanson.
78min: SUB - The Bantams bring on Paul Anderson for Marshall.
78min: Grant's teasing delivery from wide isn't quite held by Williams but no-one from Fleetwood can quite scramble the loose ball home from close range and City can clear.
74min: McLaughlin's delivery into the box is headed not too far over the bar by Matt.
70min: Grant's resulting corner delivery sits up for Matt and the striker's overhead kick from around fourteen yards out is held Williams.
69min: Forbes' drive for goal from just inside the box is deflected behind off James Meredith for a home corner.
67min: So close from Cole again! Knott's clever pass into the area finds the forward lurking and his angled drive has the beating of Maxwell before crashing against the 'keeper's far post!
60min: Cole picks up the ball from a long Williams kick forward but his effort on the turn from just outside the box sails over the away stand behind Maxwell's goal.
60min: SUB - Fleetwood bring on Bobby Grant for Della-Verde.
56min: So close from Cole! Stephen Darby's cross on the half-volley from near the byline finds Cole unmarked in the middle of goal but his close range header bounces narrowly wide of Maxwell's far post!
55min: McArdle heads narrowly wide of Maxwell's far post with a downward header from a flighted Marshall delivery.
54min: The ball drops to the feet of Rory McArdle deep inside the box after a Morris free-kick delivery from wide and his poke for goal from close range through a crowd of players deflects up off the back of McLaughlin and over the bar.
46min: The Bantams restart the match.
HT: Fleetwood Town 1 Bradford City 1
45min: There will be two minutes of time added on at the end of the first half.
45min: After City clear a Forbes throw-in into their box, Della-Verde volleys the ball with interest but his effort bounces comfortably wide of Williams' goal.
44min: Morris' low curling effort direct from a free-kick around 20 yards out is held at his near post by Maxwell.
38min: Mark Marshall's teasing delivery into the box is only headed out by Forbes as far as Hanson on the very edge of the box. The striker fires for goal with a fierce half-volley and the effort whistles narrowly wide of Maxwell's far post.
36min: Cole bursts into the box from wide with real purpose before his time on the ball is halted deep inside the area via a combination of Danny Andrew and Nirennold.
30min: Jamie Proctor's testing cross into the middle from near the byline is narrowly missed by the diving frame of Matt before Tyler Forbes' half-volley for goal over behind him is blocked by James Meredith.
20min: GOAL - Fleetwood Town 1 Bradford City 1 - Hanson equalises for City! After being fed by Devante Cole, Josh Morris crosses the ball invitingly into the middle for Hanson, who fires past Chris Maxwell from close range with a half-volley finish.
17min: Ryan fires a yard or so over the bar with a direct free-kick from outside the box.
16min: Williams has to come to just inside his own box to narrowly beat Matt to a teasing forward pass and claim the ball.
10min: A corner combination between Lyle Della-Verde and Antoni Sarcevic sees the latter put a searching cross into the box but a stretching Victor Nirennold can only hook over the bar by some distance via his boot.
3min: GOAL - Fleetwood Town 1 Bradford City 0 - A difficult start for the Bantams here as they concede an early goal. A wide free-kick delivery from Jimmy Ryan seems to get caught up in the wind, taking the ball towards goal at some speed. A back-tracking Ben Williams just manages to cling onto the ball but he has to throw it away as he feels himself falling over the line. With Williams in the back of his net by now, the ball bounces off the nearby Jamille Matt and into the vacant goal from close range. On first glance, it appears the ball may have crossed the line direct from Ryan's free-kick before Williams let go but the goal is initially being credited to Matt. The goal is later eventually given to Ryan.
0min: Fleetwood Town kick off the match.
