The Burton fixture is due to kick off at 2:00pm.
The game will be City's first official reserve fixture in over two years. The club's previous second-string match took place in April 2013 at Farsley Celtic's Throstle's Nest ground, ironically also against Burton.
A number of Phil Parkinson's senior squad members are likely to be involved in the Burton fixture.
Entry into Tuesday's opening Final Third Development League game will be FREE for City supporters.
The JCT600 Main Stand will be open on an unreserved basis.
