CITY DRAWN AT HOME TO BARNSLEY IN JPT

5 September 2015

The Bantams have been drawn at home to fellow Sky Bet League 1 side Barnsley in the second round of this season's Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The tie at the Coral Windows Stadium is scheduled to take place the week commencing 5th October 2015.

Interestingly, the tie will be City's first Johnstone's Paint Trophy match to be played on home soil over four years.

The game will also officially be Phil Parkinson's first JPT tie in charge at Valley Parade.

Parkinson had just been appointed manager of the Bantams ahead of City's previous home JPT match - the first round tie with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 30 August 2011 - but then-assistant manager Colin Cooper actually took charge of duties for the game.

City have already fancied Barnsley once this season, drawing 0-0 with their South Yorkshire neighbours at Oakwell last month.

Ticket details for this tie will be announced in due course.
