MEREDITH MAKES AUSTRALIA DEBUT

12 November 2015

Bantams debut James Meredith made his senior debut for the Australian national side this Thursday in the Socceroos' 3-0 victory over Krygyzstan in a FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifier.

Meredith started the match and played the whole ninety minutes in front of his fellow Australians in Canberra, catching the eye of many with his powerful performance down the Aussies' left flank.

The home victory puts Australia just one point behind leaders Jordon in their Asia Group B qualifying section.

Meredith and his Australia team-mates will now fly to Dhaka to take on bottom of the league Bangladesh in their latest qualifier next Tuesday.
