After nine months of football and many memorable matches for the Bantams and their fans, Parkinson's men take on Crewe Alexandra at the Alexandra Stadium on Sunday lunchtime for the final match of their 2014/2015 campaign.
For the hosts Crewe, a point or a victory will be enough to secure their League 1 status for another season.
Despite missing out of their dreams of an end-of-season Play-Off spot, however, City go into the curtain-closer knowing victory would see them finish at least eighth in the table - their highest placing in the football pyramid since 2004.
And in the week that it was confirmed that four apprentices have been offered pro deals for next season, Parkinson says he won't be using the Crewe match as an opportunity to experiment or improvise.
Parkinson said: "I was pleased with the win over Barnsley last Saturday. That made us three unbeaten after the Bristol City loss - the aim now is to finish the season four unbeaten.
"We know it will be a tough game though. Crewe had a great win at Coventry City last weekend but they are still having to fight for their lives.
"For ourselves and for the rest of the division, we must ensure that we play the game in a committed fashion.
"We will be picking the team that deserves to play.
"We have given some youngsters a taste this season on the bench - a couple of them have got on - but we are always conscious of the fact that we musn't play them if we don't feel they are quite ready.
"That is important for the team as a whole and for the young players themselves as they continue their development.
"We have given four of our scholars pro contracts for next season but I don't feel they are ready to start just yet.
"When they are ready and if someone deserves their spot though, we'd love nothing more than to see a couple of our own youngsters in the team."
Parkinson revealed in his media duties ahead of the Crewe fixture that Mark Yeates will undergo an operation in the next week or so in a bid to finally rid the Irishman of a long-standing shoulder problem.
Parkinson confirmed: "He is going to have the operation.
"He saw the specialist this week and he (Mark Yeates) didn't really have any choice but to go ahead with it. Once the specialist saw the scans, it was clear that he needed to get it done."
