PLANS BEGINNING FOR NEXT SEASON

13 May 2015

City's 2014/2015 campaign may have only finished less than two weeks ago but preparations for next season are well underway.

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has already held discussions with some potential new recruits and will continue to do so this week. Parkinson will also meet this week with those current members of his squad whose contracts expire in the summer.

After signing an initial one-year deal last summer, Gary Liddle's extra year option in his original contract has automatically been activated due to the amount of appearances he made for Parkinson's men during the 2014/2015 season.

As well as looking to mould the shape of his squad for the new campaign, Parkinson has also recently checked out possible training venues for the Bantams to use during pre-season in July.

Meanwhile, Christopher Routis and Mark Yeates have both undergone surgery this week.

Routis had a minor operation to repair slight cartilage damage in his knee, while Yeates underwent a procedure to reconstruct his left shoulder following problems with it throughout last season.

As Routis and Yeates begin their rehabilitation, Filipe Morais has been at Apperley Bridge most days since the end of the season continuing his work on the training ground to build his knee back up after last season's injury.

Billy Clarke also had a exploratory op earlier this week to 'wash out' cartilage in his knee.
