MORAIS SET FOR THREE-GAME BAN

17 March 2015

Bantams attacker Filipe Morais is set to miss City's next three Sky Bet League 1 fixtures following his red card during Monday's FA Cup quarter-final replay at Reading.

Morais was given a straight red card for catching Reading's Nathaniel Chalobah with a high boot just past the hour mark at the Madejski Stadium.

Should, as expected, the red card be deemed as 'violent conduct' then the Portuguese winger is in line to serve out a three-match ban.

City's next three games are all at home - Fleetwood Town, Oldham Athletic and Chesterfield.

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson said: "He (Filipe) did have his eye on the ball and it wasn't intentional but he has caught the lad high.

"It is a difficult one for the ref.

"I thought initially it was a harsh decision but, having seen the incident again, it probably does have to go down as a red."
