For those who don’t already know, we have a new campaign ready to put into action this Saturday as the Bantams face an F.A Cup Quarter-Final showdown with Reading.
All throughout our F.A Cup run this season, we have run various different campaigns that have been made popular via the club’s official website and social media channels. We’ve witnessed the #BeTheDifference campaign come to fruition and then we all saw the delightful claret and amber placard display in the Kop as the players came out onto the pitch ahead of kick off in the Sunderland match.
Those campaigns ran really well, but we want this one to be the biggest one yet. This Saturday, we want all of our fans to bring a Bradford City scarf; whether that be an old one, a new one or a retro one, we want to see a fantastic variety of scarves inside the ground to create some vibrant colour and we want to see the biggest display of scarves ever seen at Valley Parade.
Our aim is to temporarily turn Valley Parade into Scarf Parade at The Coral Windows Stadium and we urge all supporters that are on the commonly used social media channels, such as Facebook and Twitter, to use #ScarfParade to gather as much interest as possible in the campaign and the match itself.
Here is the plan:
As the players enter the pitch just before kick off in the first and second halves, we want everyone to lift their scarves aloft above their heads and also at any point during the game when you feel the team needs the support.
In addition to this process, there will be a procession of giant scarves that will circulate around the perimeter of the pitch prior to kick off and there will also be some very special live entertainment building up to the start of the game to really get the atmosphere building inside the ground.
Help us to gather some momentum and get #ScarfParade out there and circulating the social media channels…Don’t forget your scarf!
