The Bantams kept their season well and truly alive with a hard-fought but deserved victory over Lancashire neighbours Oldham Athletic.
Following a keenly-contested opening forty-five, Phil Parkinson's men opened the scoring midway into the second period when Clarke pounced to convert from close range after City had kept a corner from substitute Billy Knott alive inside Oldham's box.
With the Bantams looking in control of proceedings as the game went into injury time, Parkinson's men then made certain of the points in the third minute of over-time when Clarke netted his second from just inside the box after Jon Stead's lay-off.
The only downside to City's morale-boosting win was the loss of Andrew Davies to an apparent hamstring injury early into the first period.

86min: SUB - Oldham Jordan Bove for Brown.

76min: Stead's ball across the box finds Clarke but the Irishman's low drive from around fourteen yards out is held by Coleman to his left.

71min: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bradford City 1 Oldham Athletic 0 - Clarke fires City into the lead! Knott's near post corner is flicked across goal by McArdle. Stead over by the far post keeps the ball in the mix before Hanson and MacKenzie also use their head to make sure the attack stays alive. After the numerous headers, the ball eventually drops into the path of Clarke, who back-heels into the goal from close range.

61min: YELLOW CARD - Clarke is booked for dragging down Winchester as the Oldham midfielder looked to break forward into City's half of the pitch.
56min: A touching moment around the Coral Windows Stadium as the visiting Oldham supporters began a round of applause inside the ground by singing 'stand up for the 56' in recognition of the 56 supporters who lost their lives in the Valley Parade fire disaster nearly 30 years ago.
55min: Mike Jones' cross into the area is contested by the powerful duo of Forte and MacKenzie before the ball breaks free inside the box. Wilkinson and Carl Winchester look to get onto the loose ball, with the latter firing over the bar with a rising strike from just inside the area.
51min: Yeates' ball in behind forces Coleman to come to the edge of his own box to kick clear, narrowly beating Stead to the attempted pass in the process. With Coleman out of his goal, Clarke looks to fire the loose ball goal-wards but his first-time effort from distance on the half-volley bounces wide of the net.
47min: Williams' long kick forward from a free-kick deep inside City's half is flicked on by Hanson but Stead is eased out of it by Anthony Gerrard inside Oldham's own box before he can look to get a shot on Coleman's goal.

42min: Steads fires the ball across the six yard box but the lurking Clarke and Hanson can't quite latch onto the cross it flashes across Oldham's goal.
38min: Billy Clarke latches onto Darby's cushioned ball into the box on the half-volley but the Irishman's downward header lacks the power and placement needed and goes straight into the clutches of Coleman.
27min: YELLOW CARD - Gary Liddle is booked for getting in the way of Connor Brown's free-kick and blocking the right-back's attempted pass as he looked to take a quick set-piece just inside Oldham's half of the pitch.
22min: Mark Yeates' cross-come-shot from just wide of the penalty area over on City's left flank drifts over Coleman's out-stretched hand before pinging off the top of his crossbar and out for a goal-kick.
17min: SUB - Sure enough, Davies has to be replaced by fellow centre half Gary MacKenzie.
16min: Andrew Davies is on the ground in some pain after appearing to pull up sharply while chasing after Forte following Luke Woodland's ball forward. On first glance, it seems Davies has damaged his calf or hamstring.
14min: Stead's inviting cross into the middle from the byline is headed over by James Hanson from around eight yards out.
12min: Mathew Sadler's hanging cross towards the far post nearly drops into the path of the lurking Jonathan Forte deep inside City's penalty area but Rory McArdle is on hand to vitally kick clear.
