Bradford City supporter Cathy Stirk popped down to the ticket office on Friday afternoon to make a lovely gesture that has been gratefully appreciated at the football club.
Cathy’s gesture was a delivery of treats to the staff that she felt they deserved after their recent hard work to help bring another full house to the Coral Windows Stadium for City's F.A Cup Quarter Final with Reading.
Cathy said: ‘I am part of a Facebook page called ‘History Makers’ and I had seen and heard that some of the staff at Bradford City had been receiving abuse from some supporters because of the Reading ticketing saga and we felt it was unfair.
"We decided to do a collection before the Crawley Town home game so that we could get the staff a gift to thank them for all their hard work."
Ticket Office manager Mick Lamb was humbled by the gesture and felt it was a lovely act of kindness.
He added: "I am speechless. I know all the staff here at Bradford City work really hard and for a supporters’ group member to do what Cathy and her colleagues have done, I think is awesome and for us, it makes everything worthwhile.
"A big thank you to everybody who contributed!"
