Everyone at Bradford City Football Club is pleased to congratulate Shapla FC for their recent success at a tournament at Wembley. Shapla FC was invited to take part in the event by Kick-it-Out and the Football Supporters’ Federation. Participating in the event was a great boost to the recently formed Shapla FC and the trip was rounded-off in style with a tour of Wembley Stadium, which all of the players found to be totally amazing! Not only that, but the team finished runners-up in the competition to demonstrate just how well the team is developing, considering they have only existed since February 2015.
Shapla FC and the Bangla Bantams are based at a community centre which is just a direct free-kick away from City’s Coral Windows Stadium (BEAP Community Centre, Cornwall Road). We were pleased to welcome players to a couple of home matches during last season and we're are delighted that, just like Bradford City, they are enjoying successful trips to Wembley.
