The League Two outfit, managed by former Manchester City and England defender Keith Curle, will be making their first trip to Bradford since the 4-0 demolition at the beginning of the 2013-14 season. On that day, Mark Yeates, Nahki Wells, James Hanson and Gary Jones were on the scoresheet to help City start life back in League One in style and leave (then) manager Greg Abbott under real pressure.
Carlisle won the reverse fixture at Brunton Park later that season; Lee Miller's overhead kick in the first half was enough to give the struggling hosts all three points. Former Bantams loanee Jordan Pickford was in goal for United that evening back in February 2014.
City will welcome back former player Jason Kennedy who was released in the summer and subsequently joined Carlisle United on a free transfer. The 28 year old scored 3 goals in 11 appearances for United whilst on loan there last season, helping them to retain their Football League status.
