The match, which will take place on Saturday 8 August 2015, will see City take on last season's defeated Sky Bet League 1 Play-Off finalists after the Robins lost 4-0 to Preston North End at Wembley last month.
Following the Swindon opener and a visit to York City in the Capital One Cup Round 1, Phil Parkinson's men will entertain newly-promoted Shrewsbury Town at the Coral Windows Stadium on Saturday 15 August 2015 for their first home game of the new campaign.
The Bantams will be back on home soil shortly after the Shrewsbury encounter with Gillingham scheduled to visit Valley Parade just three days later (Tuesday 18 August).
