The reserves competition will give City the opportunity to field some of their younger professionals and apprentices in further competitive fixtures.
Members of the Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy will also feature in fixtures as well after the club agreed a deal which means RIASA will oversee the running of City's reserves for the 2015/2016 season.
The deal further extends City's link with the RIASA programme, which is led by former City player Mark Ellis.
The RIASA programme helps players from North America receive educational support while also giving them an opportunity to further their football careers in countries like England.
City are due to begin their reserve season at home to Burton Albion on Tuesday 8 September 2015.
Although fixtures are subject to change, all games next season, both home and away, are scheduled for afternoon kick-offs at present.
City's home games will be played at either the Coral Windows Stadium or the club's Apperley Bridge training ground.
