PARKINSON READY FOR HOME RETURN

24 July 2015

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson says he is looking forward to City's return to the Coral Windows Stadium this weekend.

Parkinson's men take on Carlisle United this Saturday (25 July 2015) for their only home pre-season friendly of the summer.

The game, which will kick off at 3:00pm, comes exactly three months to the day after the Bantams' previous fixture at Valley Parade - the final home game of last season against Barnsley.

The Carlisle friendly will give some supporters their first opportunity to catch a glimpse of the club's summer signings.

One those close season captures - Steven Davies - could be set for his first outing in City colours in the game following a recent achilles injury.

Providing Davies continues to make progress in training, the forward could be in line for a substitutes' role against the Cumbrians on Saturday.

Parkinson said: It will be good to get on our home pitch again.

"The club have obviously spent a lot of time and money into improving it.

"It is always important to play at least one game on your own pitch before the season starts.

"I'm sure it will be a good opportunity for some of our fans to see the new lads for the first time.

"Our squad building has been a bit slower than we would have liked but we are getting there.

"It is important that we take our time to add only the right players to keep improving the squad."

Admission into the game will be £10.00 for adults and £5.00 for concessions. The JCT600 Main Stand (Lower) will be open to City supporters on an unreserved basis. There will be no advance ticket sales for this match - please pay on the gate.
