A PUKKA DEAL FOR THE BANTAMS!

23 July 2015

The pies the limit for City as they 'sauce' new catering supplier

With the installation of their new signage around the hot food kiosks inside the Coral Windows Stadium complete, renowned pie supplier Pukka Pies will be on sale at the ground for the first time this season for the pre-season friendly against Carlisle United on Saturday (25 July 2015).

The Club have entered into a three-year deal with Eric Twigg Foods Ltd, the official supplier of Pukka's range of pies and sausage rolls in the North of England, and with it the start what looks set to be a hearty relationship for years to come.

City's Chief Operating Officer James Mason believes the timing of the deal could not be better, he said: "With the start of the season just around the corner, fans have been regularly asking for us to improve both our offering at the kiosks before and during games but importantly the amount of kiosks and staff that will be able to service demand.

"We have listened to fans and now with over 18,000 season ticket holders we have  worked alongside all our suppliers including our caterers to improve our offerings and we believe this year there will be a marked improvement in what fans can buy and how quickly they will be served.

"Having an established brand like Pukka Pies at the stadium shows our intent going forward.

"Not only that, if we have designated pie or alcohol only kiosks this should reduce queuing. We are being commercially savvy and planning to meet demand with supply. It's just one of the first steps in the all round philosophy of the Club going forward."

Matthew Twigg, Managing Director at Eric Twigg Foods Ltd says he is delighted to be supplying Bradford City and it's fans. He added: "We first became involved with the Club during their historic FA Cup run starting with advertising boards around the ground.

"When James explained the vision to sell over 15,000 and then 17,500 season tickets we knew we had to be involved. To sell over 18,000 is phenomenal. It could mean a lot of pies!!"

Throughout the season, Bradford City, along with Eric Twigg Foods Ltd, will be offering a range of prizes to be won including an iPad as well as other promotions to incentivise fans into the ground earlier on match days.
