YEATES BACK IN THE FRAME

8 January 2015

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has revealed that Mark Yeates is back in contention for City's home match with Rochdale this Saturday (10 January 2015) after the Irishman made a return to training this week.

Yeates has missed City's last two matches after damaging his knee during the victory over Fleetwood Town on Boxing Day.

Following his return to the training pitch in the build up to Saturday's Rochdale match, however, Yeates is now expected back in Parkinson's match-day squad for this weekend.

Andrew Davies, who missed last Saturday's trip to Millwall in the F.A Cup with a slight hamstring problem, has an outside chance of also being included in Parkinson's thoughts for the Rochdale game.

Despite making good progress following a recent knee injury, Billy Clarke will still be sidelined for the visit of Rochdale though.

Parkinson said: "Mark (Yeates) is back in full training, which I am pleased with.

"He was in a good vein of form before his injury so it is good to have him back in training with us.

"Playing on the left wing in front of Mezzer (James Meredith), he was excellent. Those two were starting to form a good partnership.

"Davo (Andrew Davies) won't be too long. If he doesn't make this week, he will certainly make Wednesday (F.A Cup replay with Millwall).

"Billy Clarke is getting closer and Matthew Dolan (hamstring) is making good progress as well.

"We are pleased in general with how the injuries are progressing.

"You never want the treatment room to be too full but when you have had a busy Christmas period, these sort of things can happen.

"None of the injuries have been anything too serious though, so that has been pleasing."
