The Bantams' tie at Stamford Bridge against the Premier League leaders has understandably whet the appetite of just about every Bradford City supporter across the world.

- City's last visit to the F.A Cup Fourth Round came during the 1999/2000 season. The Bantams, who were in the Premier League at the time, defeated Crewe Alexandra in the third round before losing at Gillingham.
- City's previous run to this stage of the competition from the very first round came back in the 1975/76 campaign. City got to the quarter-finals that season before losing to eventual winners Southampton.
- The last time City played the best team in the country (the Premier League leaders) was 13 January 2001 when they hosted Manchester United at Valley Parade in a Premier League fixture.
- The Bantams' previous trip to Stamford Bridge came just a few weeks earlier - 23 December 2000.
- City's most recent match against a Premier League side in the F.A Cup was against West Bromwich Albion during the 2002/2003 campaign.
- Some of City's other most recent F.A Cup ties against sides who were in the Premier League at the time includes Middlesbrough (2001) and Sheffield Wednesday (1997).
- Probably City's most famous F.A Cup win in the last couple of decades came during the 1996/97 season when Chris Kamara's Bantams defeated Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park in the fourth round thanks to goals from John Dreyer, Chris Waddle and Robert Steiner. Some of the more notables names in the City line up that day included Mark Schwarzer, Andrew O'Brien and Wayne Jacobs.
- Looking at the club's current F.A Cup campaign, Phil Parkinson's Bantams have netted an impressive 13 goals during their four ties so far.
- City currently have two former Blues in their squad - both Filipe Morais and Billy Knott enjoyed spells in the youth ranks at Chelsea.
- Ahead of Saturday's mouth-watering tie, Parkinson and Mourinho have come up against each other once before. Parkinson's Colchester United met Mourinho's Chelsea in an F.A Cup Fifth Round tie back in February 2006. Despite taking the lead, Colchester eventually lost 3-1 at Stamford Bridge thanks to two late goals from Joe Cole. Mark Yeates was playing for Colchester that day.
- Other notable F.A Cup achievements from current members of the Bradford City group include Jon Stead getting to the F.A Cup Semi-Finals with Blackburn Rovers back in 2005.
