READING TICKET UPDATE

24 February 2015

The Club has confirmed that a limited number of tickets are still available to season-ticket and flexi-card holders for the forthcoming FA Cup Quarter Final tie at the Coral Windows Stadium against Reading on Saturday 7 March 2015 (kick off 12:45pm).

With the high demand for tickets on Sunday, cup tickets have now been restricted to one ticket per season ticket or flexi-card and these are available only at the main ticket office, with the majority of these now being single tickets.

At this point, every effort is being made to ensure that every season ticket and flexi-card holder will get a ticket for the cup tie.

Staff members and volunteers are contacting supporters who have emailed the club so fans are asked not to send further emails or telephone the club; we will be in touch with you if you have already emailed.

If any supporter knows of a season ticket or flexi-card holder that has not yet obtained a ticket and does not have access to email, please get in touch on their behalf or ask them to pop into the club.

We offered tickets for the Reading tie at the rates of £15, £10 and £5 as part of the Club’s policy of making football affordable to all.

That pricing structure was also an attempt to keep the attendance for the match high and to thank our fans for the part they have played in our FA Cup run.

The Club is saddened that some season ticket and flexi-card holders have taken the opportunity to cash-in at the expense of other City fans and the Club is doing everything it can to avoid tickets being sold at inflated prices and to non-ticket holders.

If any supporter has any information regarding the sale of tickets at inflated prices, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Club with the details.

Club staff are also working with external organisations to establish if any additional seating can be made available for the game (e.g. in the North West corner where a TV studio is normally in place).

The Club appreciates that the ticket option that has been implemented, however well intentioned, has caused upset, worry and stress for its most loyal group of supporters and offers a sincere apology to all concerned for any stress caused.

We are sorry this situation has occurred and remain confident that all fans who are entitled to a ticket will receive a ticket and we will continue to work hard to achieving that conclusion in the next few days.
