PARKINSON EXCITED BY BUMPER EASTER WEEKEND

2 April 2015

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson is looking forward to a bumper Easter weekend for his squad, starting with Friday's trip to Doncaster Rovers.

Parkinson's men begin the extended Easter weekend at fellow Play-Off contenders Doncaster this (Good) Friday before hosting another side with promotion hopes on their agenda - Preston North End - at the Coral Windows Stadium three days later on Easter Monday.

For City, Friday's encounter at the Keepmoat Stadium will be their third fixture in only six days. Doncaster, however, haven't played since 21 March after their scheduled fixture at Milton Keynes Dons last weekend was postponed due to international call-ups.

Parkinson said: "An exciting weekend in prospect for us. Two terrific games, starting with Doncaster on Friday.

"Hopefully we will have a good following to take with us to South Yorkshire and we look forward to giving a good account of ourselves.

"We know how to prepare the players and the players know how to prepare themselves for these quick turnarounds. We have had plenty of practice this season.

"There is nothing we can do about Doncaster's fixture schedule of late.

"Whether their break leaves them refreshed or it means they have lost a bit of momentum, we won't know until Friday night.

"We can only concentrate on ourselves and picking the right team.

"We won't be focusing too much on Monday's game (vs Preston North End). We will look at that on Sunday after we've seen how Friday's match goes.

"Instead, we'll look at the players we used against Oldham last Saturday and Chesterfield on Tuesday and see how they are in terms of their freshness.

"I want to take my time over this team selection because I want to get it right."
