IF THE CAP FITS...!

2 April 2015

Play your part in breaking a Guinness World Record after City’s game against Preston North End this Easter Monday!

Jeremy White from Bradford City Badges along with colleague Gavin Dimmock cordially invite you to join in their attempt to break a Guinness World Record by gathering together the most number of people wearing ‘Flat Caps’ in any one place!

The Bantams entertain Preston at the Coral Windows Stadium next Monday (6 April 2015).

Inspired by a photo on the Bantams Past Website taken in the late 1920s, of the Kop at Valley Parade with virtually everyone wearing flat caps, Jeremy thought that it would be a great fundraising idea to design a flat cap in ‘muted’ Claret and Amber and sell them to raise money for the PSBRU. He approached fellow City supporter Gavin Dimmock (a renowned flat cap wearer) to see if he was interested in joining the project.

Since the early inception of the idea, with a lot of help and guidance from the tweed weavers (Mallalieus of Delph) and the cap manufacturers (Lawrence & Foster), Jeremy and Gavin’s idea has flourished and exceeded all expectations. So far, in excess of 520 caps have been ordered and despatched with the help of family members.

If you would like to be involved, we ask you bring a flat cap to the game and then the plan is to gather in the Lower Kop for the photo to be recreated and the record attempted.
