BENNETT BACK AFTER DERBY RUN-OUT

8 October 2014

Bantams loanee Mason Bennett was back training with City this Wednesday following his appearance for parent club Derby County's Under 21s this Monday evening.

Bennett played 90 minutes for the Rams in their 1-0 loss at Bolton Wanderers.

The 18 year-old is on a youth loan deal with the Bantams until January. Under Football League rules, this allows him to still play for Derby's Development sides if called upon.

Bennett played the game with the blessing of Bantams boss Phil Parkinson, who was happy to see the striker get some more match action under his belt.

The latest of Bennett's twelve appearances for City came as a second half substitute during last Saturday's home win over Crewe Alexandra.

Fresh from his Derby run-out, Bennett is now back amongst City's squad and in contention for Sunday's televised match at Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley.
