The football club have appointed James Mason as acting chief operating officer at the Coral Windows Stadium.
Mason has also been made a director of the club and will continue in his new role at least until the end of the calendar year.
The life-long City fan replaces David Baldwin, who departed for Premier League side Burnley at the start of the month.
Coming into Valley Parade, Mason has a background of working in media and commercial circles. His previous working experience before taking the City job includes running two companies for the past 12 years and working as a freelance sports reporter with the BBC.
