CHAIR OF SUPPORTERS BOARD STANDS DOWN

The Chair of the City Supporters Board, Gerard Hollingworth has today stood down from the post due to ill health and his move away from the area.


work and attend meetings that are required in my role as Chair  I feel that I need to step down from my position as I am now not only unable to get to the monthly meetings but I am unable to carry out the Gerard said “ Because of my health problems and moving away."


The Board, in reluctantly accepting his resignation, paid tribute to his hard work and input in moving forward the Supporters Board organisation.


Phil Abbott , Vice-Chair said “ Gerard was a founder member of the Board and was a driving force on a number of issues and since taking over as Chair has been keen to ensure the Supporters Board truly represents the Fans and remains a sounding board for the Club. The work he has started will continue and hopefully fans will all see the benefits of it in the near future”


The Supporters Board have appointed Phil Abbott, the current Vice- Chair, to take over as Chair for the remainder of the season and a new Vice Chair will be appointed at the next Supporters Board meeting.
