The draw, which took place this Tuesday morning, hands Phil Parkinson's men their first scheduled match for the forthcoming 2014/2015 campaign.
The tie is set to take place at Morecambe's Globe Arena on the week commencing 11 August 2014.
With City's Sky Bet League 1 campaign set to begin the Saturday before (9 August 2014), the club's cup tie with Morecambe will be the Bantams' second game of the new season.
