...AND NOW DOWN TO WORK

14 July 2014

After arriving in the Emerald Isle on Sunday, City took part in the first full day of their Ireland pre-season trip this Monday with morning and afternoon training sessions at their hotel base.

Phil Parkinson's men took advantage of the high quality football pitches on the grounds of their Irish hotel this morning by taking part in a football session before moving into the gym in the afternoon.

Along with all seventeen members of the Bantams' senior squad, plus out-of-contract duo Jon McLaughlin and Raffaele De Vita and youth team trio Sam Wright, Elliott Barker and James King, City have brought trialists Angelo Balenta (pictured) and Nick Arnold with them for the trip.

Balenta and Arnold were two of five trialists on show for City during their opening pre-season victory of the summer at Guiseley last Saturday.

The pair are expected to feature in at least one of the club's two scheduled matches during their Irish trip, with Parkinson also refusing to rule out an appearance later in the tour for some of the other trialists who featured at Guiseley.

The Bantams play at UCD Tuesday night before enjoying a friendly against Shelbourne on Saturday.
