WILLIAMS BACK FOR DARTFORD TIE

4 December 2014

Bantams goalkeeper Ben Williams is expected to be recalled for this Sunday's F.A Cup tie with Dartford.

Williams is likely to be handed the club's 'keeping duties for the second round tie against the Vanarama Conference side given the terms of Jordan Pickford's loan deal with Premier League side Sunderland.

With Pickford not allowed to play for City in any cup competitions Sunderland also feature in, Williams has started in all of the Bantams' four Capital One Cup and F.A Cup ties so far this season.

Williams said: “It’s always been a case of approaching it the right way when you play a team from non-league.

“We know it’s a potential banana skin if we take it lightly. The gap from the lower league teams down to the Conference has narrowed a lot.

“You expect the other team to raise their game for the big occasion so you have to allow for that."
