PARKINSON TAKES ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE!

22 August 2014

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson became one of the latest individuals in the footballing world to take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge this Friday.

Following his nomination from City defender Alan Sheehan, Parkinson stuck to his word and held his nerve as a bucket of ice cold water was poured over his head at the club's Apperley Bridge training ground.

The ice bucket challenge aims to raise awareness about the disease and to help raise funds to try and find ways to treat it.

ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease that can eventually affect and/or disable nearly all bodily functions, including muscle and joint movement.
