MORAIS MOVES IN

8 August 2014

City have secured their fourth signing of the week by obtaining the services of talented attacker Filipe Morais on a short-term deal.

The 28 year-old right winger arrived at the Coral Windows Stadium this Friday to complete the deal in time to take his place in the Bantams' mouth-watering league opener with Coventry City this Saturday.

Portuguese-born Morais has been training with Phil Parkinson's squad for the past couple of weeks ahead of his move to the Bantams.

With fellow new signings Ben Williams, Mo Shariff and Matt Urwin taking squad numbers 12, 16 and 22 respectively, Morais has elected for number 20 for this season.

He arrives at the football club as a free agent after playing in League 1 for Stevenage last season.

Morais spent two years in total with 'Boro, catching the eye of many during that time with his skillful attacking play.

Before his time with Stevenage, Morais enjoyed a couple of seasons with Oldham Athletic after previously playing north of the border with Hibernian, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and St Johnstone.

Having moved to London from Portugal with his family when he was a child, Morais actually started his professional career with Chelsea back in 2005. He also spent a season with Millwall in 2006 before beginning his three-year period in Scotland.
