Meredith recently returned to full training having previously been ruled out since breaking a bone in his foot back in January.
After a hard-fought effort from his players to secure victory over Peterborough, Parkinson hasn't ruled out the possibility of changes for the match at the County Ground on Monday.
He has, however, revealed that Meredith will at least be on the bench against the Robins for the defender's first match-day involvement with the squad since New Year's Day.
Parkinson told the club's official website: "James Meredith will be back involved, certainly on the bench on Monday.
"He has trained really well this week and we were thinking of including him tonight (Friday) but he's had another good day's worth of training at the training ground this afternoon.
"He will definitely be involved at Swindon though - he will make the eighteen-man squad.
"We will have a look at everybody else after that. Anybody who has a knock from tonight will be in tomorrow (Saturday), the rest of the lads will be off.
"We will then regroup on Sunday and look to pick a team ready to go and play like we have been doing, certainly on our travels.
