Eccleshill United were crowned winners of the West Riding County Cup for the first time this Wednesday evening after upsetting favourites Harrogate Town in the final at the Coral Windows Stadium.
A late penalty from Eccleshill top scorer Marcus Edwards secured a 1-0 victory for the Eagles, who are managed by former Bantams midfielder Lee Duxbury.
The victory for Eccleshill - a side based just a couple of miles away from Valley Parade - came against a Harrogate team four-divisions higher up the football pyramid than them.
The final was the fourth on the trot to be played at the Coral Windows Stadium. The previous three finals have seen two victories for Guisieley and a win for last year's holders FC Halifax Town.
