Bantams defender Carl McHugh has been called up for the Republic of Ireland Under 21s' forthcoming double-header with Romania.
McHugh was initially on stand-by for the squad but has now been called up into the main group for Ireland's two UEFA Under 21 Championship qualifying round fixtures against their Romanian counterparts.
The Irish Under 21s are set to play in Romania this Friday (11 October 2013) before facing the same opponents four days later in Sligo next Tuesday (15 October 2013) afternoon.
McHugh now becomes the second City defender to be on international duty with week following Rory McArdle's inclusion in the Northern Ireland senior squad for their World Cup qualifiers in Azerbaijan and Israel.
