City duo Rory McArdle and Carl McHugh were both restricted to watching roles from the bench during the pair's latest stints of international duty for their respective countries.
McArdle was an unused substitute this Friday evening as Northern Ireland suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat in Azerbaijan.
The Bantams defender could well be in line to feature in Northern Ireland's final World Cup qualifier in Israel next Tuesday, however, after Manchester United centre half Jonny Evans picked up a red card late in the match.
West Bromwich Albion's Gareth McAuley will also be suspended for the Israel qualifier after picking up his second yellow card of the campaign during the Azerbaijan match.
McHugh was also an unused sub as Republic of Ireland's Under 21s drew 0-0 in Romania in their UEFA Under 21s European Championship qualifier. McHugh and his Irish team-mates are due to face their Romanian counterparts again next Tuesday in Sligo.
