Recent signing Matthew Bates has been brought into the side by Phil Parkinson for his City debut as one of two changes made by the Bantams boss for his side's match at Crawley Town.
Bates will partner the recalled Rory McArdle, who is free after recent international duty, in City's central defence, meaning Luke Oliver drops to the bench.
With Nathan Doyle moving back into his more familiar position of central midfield alongside captain Gary Jones, Jason Kennedy will join Oliver among City's substitutes.
