Oldham travel news

28 November 2013

The football club would like to inform its supporters of some travel details ahead of this Sunday's (1 December 2013) Sky Bet League 1 fixture at Oldham Athletic.

City's match at Boundary Park this Sunday will kick off at 3:00pm.

Firstly, travel advice from Northern Rail for Bradford City fans travelling to Oldham:

On Sunday 1 December (match-day), there will be planned engineering work taking place between Halifax and Rochdale, meaning trains will be replaced by buses.

Please check before you travel and allow extra time for your journey. For more information, please visit The second piece of travel advice is from Derbyshire County Council.

A road bridge will be closed to traffic during this Sunday to repair damage caused by vehicles.

The A57 at Woolley Bridge near Glossop will be closed between 8:00am-4:00pm on Sunday (1 December).

Diversionary routes will be signposted and will run along the A628, New Street, Waterside, and Woolley Bridge Road.

This closure was in place last Sunday as well (24 November 2013) and had a significant impact on transport at the end of the Woodhead Pass at Hollingworth and on the M67, resulting in long delays in the Glossop and Hattersley areas.
