Reid getting closer

2 May 2013

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has confirmed that Kyel Reid is his only injury concern going into tonight's eagerly-anticipated Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg with Burton Albion at the Coral Windows Stadium.

Reid hasn't featured since injuring his groin during Burton's last visit to Valley Parade just under two weeks ago for City's final home game of the regular campaign.

The winger has been making some encouraging progress recently on the training ground, however, and Parkinson says he hasn't ruled out the possibility of the speedster being on the bench in case he is needed late in the game.

Parkinson said: "Reidy has done some work in recent days and he's looking good.

"We'll see how he is and make a final decision on him late this (Thursday) afternoon though.

"There is the possibility that we could include him on the bench. If that were to be the case though, ideally, I'd only like to use him late in the game if we really needed to."

Carl McHugh has overcome a slight knee problem picked up during last Saturday's match at Cheltenham Town, meaning the only player definitely unavailable to Parkinson this evening is the suspended Andrew Davies.
