Parkinson nominated

14 May 2013

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has been nominated for the League 2 Manager of the Month award for April.

Parkinson has been put up for the award along with Rotherham United's Steve Evans and York City manager Nigel Worthington.

Parkinson's nomination comes after the City chief successfully guided the Bantams into the League 2 Play-Offs.

City enjoyed four wins, two draws and only one defeat throughout the month of April.

Highlights of the month included the 4-1 demolition of Bristol Rovers, plus vital victories over promotion rivals Northamtpon Town and Burton Albion.

This latest nomination for Parkinson is the third time he has received such an honour since joining City back in August 2011.

Parkinson was named as the top manager for the month of December 2011 before being beaten to the monthly award in February 2012 by Paolo Di Canio during the Italian's spell at Swindon Town.

The winner of the Manager of the Month for April will be announced on Friday (17 May 2013).
