Bantams boss Phil Parkinson has confirmed that there were no lasting effects from the knock picked up by Garry Thompson at Port Vale on Tuesday and that attacker is fit and in contention for this Saturday's home match with Aldershot Town.
Thompson was taken off just after the hour mark at Vale Park after taking a nasty whack to the ribs.
Thankfully, as first thought, the damage is only mild bruising, meaning, if selected, Thompson is available to keep his place in Parkinson's side for the visit of Aldershot this weekend.
Parkinson said: "Tommo (Garry Thompson) is absolutely fine now.
"He's done well for us recently and he'll certainly be one of those players vying for a place in the team on Saturday."
